Increase Activities for Youth Subcommittee
The Tulare County Gang Prevention Task Force members determined after school, evening, and weekend activities for youth must be increased to deter gang activity. This led to the formation of the Increase Activities for Youth subcommittee.
Visalia Unified School District Program Manager Frank Escobar, CSET Executive Director Carolyn Rose, and Pro Youth H.E.A.R.T. Training Director Bud Darwn lead the Increase Activities for Youth subcommittee.
Since its creation, this subcommittee has taken the lead on creating and implementing the Step Up Youth Summit and smaller anti-gang summits and events in the cities and communities of Cutler-Orosi, Dinuba, Exeter, Goshen, Ivanhoe, Pixley, Traver, Tulare, and Visalia.
